The AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course is designed for registered nurses and physicians who have completed a basic of foundations FHM course and who use fetal monitoring technology in the intrapartum perinatal setting. It is expected that the participant has a basic knowledge and related skills.
This course is only offered to the Northwestern/Evanston/Lurie Perinatal Network which includes: Central DuPage, Condell, Delnor, Evanston, Good Shepherd, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Northwest Community, Northwestern Memorial, Swedish, Vista, & West Suburban Hospitals. 2024 June 3, 2024 - Click here to register. Clinicians with at least 1 year of intrapartum clinical experience. Individuals are expected to assess their own eligibility to participate in the course and should seek counsel and guidance from the instructor as needed. The instructor may deny the participant attendance at an Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course if he or she determines the participant does not have the requisite appropriate level of knowledge and skill.

AWHONN Instructor Workshop |
The AWHONN Instructor Workshop is designed for current AWHONN members who have successfully completed the Intermediate Course with a minimum of two years' experience in intrapartum care. Participants must have current clinical involvement in fetal heart monitoring as a staff nurse, manager or educator, and the responsibility of evaluating clinical skills of others in fetal heart monitoring.
